GAMES EXPERIENCE

PROGRAMME

The Games Experience Programme (GEP) is an initiative of the IPC Academy, it stands alongside but distinct from the IPC Observers Programme. The GEP is aimed at governments and those involved in the supply chain of the Paralympic Games to understand the complex delivery of such an event. Specifically, it aims to deliver a multi stakeholder perspective of Games Management by providing unprecedented insights and privileged access to understand and observe specific core operating functions.  The tailored learning programme includes themes around the key cost and resource drivers of staging a Games: safety and security, infrastructure, technology, human resources and legacy.

The programme incorporates various activities including:

  • Presentations from acknowledged experts in the field throughout the three days
  • Site visits to Games venues with suitable accreditation providing behind the scenes access to key operational areas
  • Opportunities to meet in person IPC, OCOG and supply chain experts
  • Networking opportunities and social activities throughout the programme.

The GEP is delivered over three exciting days with a key theme explored in each respective day
