IPC ACADEMY CAMPUS 2018
IPC Academy Campus 2018
The IPC Academy is a partnership between the IPC and the World Academy of Sport and is the education division of the IPC. The Academy brings individuals together to improve educational standards of sport throughout the Paralympic Movement and ensures the executives, administrators and officials have an educational center that is sensitive to their needs and in touch with trends and evelopments, providing world class programmes.
The IPC Academy has a focused team continually enhancing programmes to ensure they remain world leading and specific to the Paralympic family’s needs. The IPC Academy Campus is an example of ensuring that those throughout the Paralympic Movement are provided exceptional education opportunities during the world’s third largest event.
The IPC Academy delivers the IPC Academy Campus; this is a unique event learning initiative taking place during each edition of the Paralympic Games. The 1st edition of the IPC Academy Campus took place in London 2012 while Sochi 2014 and Rio 2016 marked the 2nd and 3rd editions. Based on this great success, the Campus has now moved to the next level as it will be rolled out for its 4th edition in PyeongChang 2018.
Over the course of 12 consecutive days approximately 55 carefully designed educational activities across its various components will provide for the widest spectrum of learning needs for the stakeholders of major sport events: organizing committees, government authorities, partners, facility designers and service providers of the wider industry.
The IPC Academy Campus is the largest event learning Programme organized within the major sport events world. Besides the organizers of next Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo, Beijing, Paris, and Los Angeles) and the Candidate Cities for 2026, it is also available to the wider stage of major sport events globally.
